Behind The Brand

Scentify, a luxury home fragrance brand, partnered with us in January 2022 to scale their direct-to-consumer (DTC) efforts. The challenge was clear: they needed sustainable growth through paid ads and email/SMS marketing to maximize their growth rate while maintaining profitability.

Core Challenges

Scentify was looking for a partner to scale their paid ad efforts, maintain profitability, and maximize their customer lifetime value through retention channels. Our goal was to establish a long-term, scalable approach that would deliver high returns without sacrificing profit margins.

Approach

Year 1: Paid Ads for Rapid Growth

In the first year, we concentrated on growing revenue through paid advertising on platforms like Meta and Google Ads. By adjusting account structure and developing high-converting creatives, we quickly accelerated customer acquisition, resulting in an impressive 218% YoY revenue growth in 2022.

Year 2: Profitability and Retention Focus

Our second-year strategy focused on optimizing profitability and driving return customer revenue. The paid acquisition landscape shifted in 2023 leading to slimmer margins on acquisition, in order to sustain growth and profitability focusing on retention was key. We fine-tuned email and SMS marketing, working extensively on optimizing flow structure to be effective at converting new subscribers and return customers. On top of flows, we continued to refine our campaign strategy with robust segmentation strategies to optimize send cadence while maintaining engagement and deliverability. Simultaneously, we continued optimizing paid ads to scale profitably, achieving 25% YoY revenue growth in 2023.

Year 3: New Funnel & Offer for Scalable Growth

In 2024, we focused on testing and developing new offers and funnels via testing on the paid ads side which yielded an improvement in the scalability and efficiency of the account, which allowed us to increase the rate of scale sustainably while meeting financial requirements. We collaborated with Scentify’s development team to roll out a custom funnel experience that was integrated into our paid ad strategies. This new offer and funnel significantly improved scalability, yielding stronger and more efficient returns. This strategy is on track to deliver over 50% YoY revenue growth in 2024.
